Our Story

The meaning of Lukay

Lukay Guest House draws its name from the graceful coconut palms that shade the tropical retreat. “Lukay” — the coconut frond — is both a humble symbol of local life and a timeless emblem of peace, victory, and flourishing.

In the Bible, palm branches greeted a king, marked seasons of worship, and became icons of eternal hope. At Lukay, that heritage lives on: a warm natural welcome, peaceful rest under the palms, and a place where travelers find refreshment, dignity, and a sense of home.
